EVENTS
Annual Lions Club 5k
Saturday morning at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Elbert County Comprehensive High School. This is our 22nd year and is our biggest source of funds. Pre-registration is $30.00 (if postmarked by 4/11) and $35.00 afterwards. Packet pickup will begin at 7:00 am on race day. We will not be offering any cash prizes.
The 5K course will start and finish at the Elbert County Comprehensive High School. The course will wind through adjacent neighborhoods before returning to the school. The high school is located at 600 Abernathy Circle just off of Jones Street. There is also a virtual option.
Colorful t-shirts will be guaranteed for all pre-registered participants and as supply lasts on race day.
Awards will be presented to Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, and the top three male/females in age groups beginning with 10 and under up to 75 and over. The finish line is being managed by AAA Race Services and the results will be posted online within 24 hours at aaaraceservices.com, active.com, and runningintheusa.com.
Virtual Run Details: If you choose this option, you may run your 5K anytime and anywhere, but finish times must be submitted to aaaraceservices@gmail.com no later than Saturday, April 26th at 12 pm. Virtual runners are not eligible for awards but may pick up shirts at a later date if pre-registered. Shirts will not be shipped.
This event will be part of the AAA Health Series, Clover Glove Series, and Black Bag Series.
You can sign up 4 different ways:
1. Zeffy website
2. Active.com has our race listed
3. Paper registration forms are also available. Here's a link to the PDF for printing.
4. You can register on-site the morning of the event.
STUDENTS that are in 12th grade or under can run for free! But if they do want a guaranteed t-shirt, they must pre-register and make a $10 donation to cover the cost. Using Zeffy, you'll see a ticket option for Students. Otherwise, they can mail in a form during pre-registration or (if a t-shirt isn't desired) simply show up the morning of the race. We do need to have their parent or guardian sign the registration form for them.
SPONSORS are needed! We would love to have your business or personal name on the back of our event t-shirts. Here's a Zeffy link with more information. We also have a PDF for printing as well. Deadline is April 11th.
